2023 Summer Wellness Retreat Recap

Imagine this…

You walk into a large, beautiful, 6-bedroom, 6-bath, spacious interior home where 15 other women are milling about talking, laughing, smiling, and getting to know one another. There are mocktails to sip on and a vegan charcuterie board to snack on. After being shown to your room and given some time to unpack and settle in, the night continues with a campfire and continued opportunities to get to know the women you’ll be spending the next two days with. This is just the beginning of what our 2023 Summer Wellness Retreat looked like.

We had an incredible group of women, plus amazing workshops, delicious food, and time to unwind however our attendees needed to. All meals on Friday, Saturday, plus breakfast on Sunday were prepared fresh, in-house by our amazing staff. All meals were gluten-free and vegan.

To start the weekend off, we painted handmade pots made by Humble Sparrow. Our completed pots came back to us on Saturday so that we could finish our Core U Workshop by adding The Five Keystone rocks, some dirt and the succulent we each planted in our pot. Every attendee got to take their pot home with them.

For the first time at one of our retreats, we were able to take our attendees to the Ropes Course at Culver Academies. This allowed the women to try something new and challenge themselves in whatever way they felt was right for them. It was about helping us remember we can do hard things. We all cheered each other on, supported one another, and gave encouragement when needed.

On Saturday night, we experienced an amazing Reiki Sound Healing Meditation co-facilitated by Brenna Ruth, a fellow practitioner. This was an hour that our attendees were able to just lie down, relax and let the sounds of the various bowls, drums, and instruments used go to work on healing their bodies in whatever way they needed at that moment.

Sunday included yoga lakeside, a boat ride around beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee and a picnic at the lake after. If attendees were interested, they enjoyed some free time at the Culver Farmer’s Market and shopping at the downtown businesses. The afternoon included optional workshops such as foam rolling and essential oils. All of our guests created their own negative energy spray with essential oils that they were able to take home with them thanks to Deanna Grolich, a Young Living Brand Partner. The evening ended with mini facials thanks to Andrea Cox and the BeautyCounter products she brought with her for us to use.

Our goal for our retreats is to give women the opportunity to have someone take care of and pamper them for a change. To give women a chance to focus on themselves and to create, or maybe even just remember, the hopes and dreams they have for themselves. We hope all of our attendees left the retreat feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we’ve already set the date for next year’s retreat! Join us July 18-21, 2024. Want to host your own retreat? We are happy to help facilitate a private retreat as well! Contact us to save your spot today!
